Analysis of leukaemia cases in Bavaria - their mortality and morbidity in view of natural and artificial non-medical exposure to radiation

Description
No significant increase in leukaemia mortality rate was found by a mortality study covering the age groups of 0-14 and 15-29 years either in rural districts with nuclear facilities or in any other rural districts and cities. This morbidity study shows there is no correlation between increase of natural exposure to radiation and leukaemia incidence in the four population groups studied. (DG)
Abstract (German)
In den Altersgruppen 0-14 und 15-59 Jahre konnte mit der Mortalitaetsstudie weder in den Landkreisen mit kerntechnischen Anlagen noch in den uebrigen Landkreisen und kreisfreien Staedten eine signifikant hoehere Leukaemiesterblichkeitsrate festgestellt werden. Die Morbiditaetsstudie zeigt bei den vier untersuchten Bevoelkerungsgruppen keinen Zusammenhang zwischen Zunahme von natuerlicher Strahlenexposition und Leukaemieinzidenz auf. (DG)Additional details
