Study on nitrate as oxidant in-acid in-situ leaching of uranium
Description
The author presents the study on nitrate as oxidant in acid in-situ leaching of uranium. The test results show that nitrate can effectively oxidize Fe2+ in absorpt effluent. but the dynamic feature of nitrate's oxidizing Fe2+ is inferior to that of H2O2. The insoluble U(IV) of the ore can be oxidized and leached satisfactorily with the using of nitrate. The nitrate as oxidant for leaching can meet the requirements of acid in-situ leaching process
