Radioisotopes in the analysis of metal alloys for non-conventional elements

Description

A radioisotope method is developed for germanium determination in gray cast iron. The method is based on the activation analysis with a neutron generator using multichannel analyzer equipped with a computer and a Li-drifted Ge detector. The present technique shows reproducible results. This method permits to determine germanium and simultaneously some other elements (Si, Cr, Mo, O) in a short time interval (3 min)
