Reconstruction of diffusing distribution from projections
Description
Emission CT uses the decay of radioactive isotopes to image affected parts. Then diffusion of isotopes injected in living organs by blood or by body fluid yields artifacts in reconstructed images. We investigate mathematical properties of projections of diffusing distribution and clarify relations between diffusing projections and projections from initial distribution of diffusion process. This relation derives tomographic reconstruction of clear distribution from its projections. The computer simulation shows good performance of the proposed method. (author)
