Influence of non-ferrous metal impurities on structure and heat resistance of nickel base cast alloys

Description

Effect of non-ferrous metal impurities (lead and bismuth) on the production of structure and heat resisting properties of cast alloys based on nickel and produced by equiaxial or directed casting methods are investigated. It is shown that the alloy with equiaxoal structure is more sensitive to impurities than the cast alloy with columnar structure which is connected with the features of their structure formation. Negative effect of impurities on the structure formation under eutectic alloy casting is ascertained
