Excitation of helium (11S yields 21S) by proton impact at intermediate and high energies

Description

The differential and integral cross sections for the 1sup(1)S yields 2sup(1)S excitation of helium by proton impact are calculated, with incident anergy ranging from 100-500 KeV, using the two-potential-modified Born (TPMB) approximation. The computed results are compared with the plane-wave results and the various other theoretical calculations. (author)
