Evaluation of intermediate energy nuclear data for accelerator system. A case study, neutron- and proton-induced reactions in 27Al

  • 1. Japan Atomic Energy Research Inst., Tokai, Ibaraki (Japan). Tokai Research Establishment

Description

Intermediate energy nuclear data of neutron- and proton-induced reaction in 27Al was evaluated in the energy range from 20 MeV to 1 GeV, in order to supply fundamental data for accelerator-driven radioactive waste transmutation systems. In this paper, methods and results of nuclear data evaluation for 27Al are described so as to fill a lack of evaluated data in lighter mass range and to show the feasibility of the some evaluation methods employed for the heavier nuclei. The evaluated results are in good agreement with the experimental data. (author)
