Reactor steels studies. Final report, July 1974-December 1977

Description

This program was concerned with three different aspects of high temperature deformation and fracture of LMFBR candidate materials. Information is presented concerning the influence of prior cold work on the creep characteristics of Type 304 stainless steel; mechanical properties of chromium-molybdenum steels at elevated temperature; and the effect of carbon on the elevated temperature mechanical, fracture, and static load crack extension behavior of stainless steels
