Magnetic phases and quadrupolar effects in rare-earth orthochromites

Description
A variety of substituted and unsubstituted rare-earth orthochromites has been investigated by the 53 Cr NMR technique. Correlations between magnetic ordering of 53 Cr ions and the magnitude of the NMR spectrum quadrupole splitting has been established. The inhomogeneity of local and exchange fields as well as the electric field gradient in substituted orthochromites has been investigated
