A simple microtitrimetric method for the estimation of zinc, cadmium, mercury, aluminium, iron, thallium, rare earths and rare elements
Description
Biamperometric technique using two stationary platinum electrodes at constant applied voltage has been used to estimate zinc, cadmium, mercury, aluminium, iron (III), thallium (III), lanthanum, cerium (III), praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, dysprosium, scandium, titanium, yttrium, zirconium, hafnium and thorium. The pH at which these elements were estimated was between 3.5 to 4.5 for cadmium, 2.5 to 3.0 for zinc, aluminium, lanthanum, cerium (III), praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, dysprosium and 1.5 to 2.0 for mercury, iron (III), thallium (III), scandium, titanium, yttrium, zirconium, hafnium and thorium respectively.
