Use of ionites for isolation and separation of U, Np and Pu from other elements from sulfuric and phosphoric acid solutions
Description
Behaviour of actinides and some fragmentation elements on ionites in the solutions of sulphuric and phosphoric acids depending on acid concentration, presence of the organic solvent in the solution and type of the ion exchanger is investigated. Effective methods of U, Np and Pu concentration and separation from a large number of other elements using anionites and cationites from the solutions of H2SO4 and H3PO4 are developed based on the obtained results and analysis of literature data. A method for preparation of isotopic-pure 239Np from its parent radionuclide 243Am by the principle of the isotopic generator on the basis of the cationite and solutions of H3PO4 is suggested
