Analysis of the development of pores in high burnup UO2-fuel
Description
The aim of the investigation was to analyse the development of porosity with regards to the high release of fission gases. The samples from the areas with high fission gas release show extra porosity in the centre. This points to influence of the temperature. However, the samples do not display any temperature dependent grain boundary porosity caused by high burnup. (G.B.)
