Description
The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Hygiene of Slovak Medical Association, a member of International Radiation Protection Association, organizes the next in turn, 27th Days of Radiation Protection in Liptovsky Jan (Low Tatras), from 28th November to 2nd December 2005. The Proceedings submitted to you in accordance with the previous practice, contain the review of recent and potential future advances in the radiation protection topics, connected with the application of ionizing radiation on the national and international level. The recent progress in radiation protection in the past few years has been remarkable not only in the streaming to reduce the population's doses by implementation of quality assurance programmes for optimisation, but also in the broad education efforts for improvement of the understanding of the mechanism and basic principles of practical using of ionizing radiation.
