Measurement of plasma properties by means of lasers
Description
The most important laser based technique for the measurement of plasma properties is the Thomson scattering of pulses of laser radiation. Scattering from electrons in the plasma gives a measurement of electron temperature and scattering of longer wavelength radiation a measurement of ion temperature
