Polarization-transfer coefficients Ky'y and Kx'z in elastic pd scattering at Ep = 19.0 MeV

Description

Nucleon-to-nucleon polarization-transfer coefficients Ky'y and Kx'z have been measured in elastic D( vector p, vector p)D scattering at Eplab 19.0 MeV. They are compared to solutions of the 3N Faddeev equations obtained with the Argonne AV14, Bonn A, Bonn B, Nijmegen and Paris potentials. The Ky'y data are described well by the Bonn A and Nijmegen predictions, Kx'z by the AV14, Bonn A and B predictions. Especially their dependence on the 3S1-3D1 and 1P1 force components was investigated. Correlations between them were found, similar to what is known from the NN system. On-shell differences among the potentials studied still prevent unique conclusions on single components of the different NN potentials. (orig.)
