Description
The possibility of disentangling for the first time the K-complex in kaonic hydrogen with a precision measurement is shown to be realistic with the DEAR experiment. A 1% measurement of the Kα line shifts, due to strong interaction, in the kaonic hydrogen and kaonic deuterium atoms is shown to be possible, allowing for the first time the experimental determination of the KN sigma term.
