Improvement of the thermoluminescence properties of the non-commercial dosimetry phosphors CaSO4:Dy and CaSO4:Tm
Description
The performed investigations demonstrated that the unsuitable dosimetric properties of some non-commercial phosphors such as intensive low temperature peak and considerably high fading-rate depend, in principle, on two basic factors: the phosphors were not doped with optimal activator content and the starting chemicals did not possess the required purity for the critical foreign ions. A technique is described for producing high quality non-commercial themoluminescent phosphors CaSO4:Dy and CaSO4:Tm. (Auth.)
