Shower size spectra reconstruction with KASCADE-Grande data
Description
KASCADE-Grande, located at Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, is a multi detector experiment for the measurement of extensive air showers induced by primary cosmic rays in the energy range of 1014-1014 eV. With its 0.5 km2 large field detector, consisting of 37 stations of 10 m2 detecting surface each, and in combination with the muon detectors of the KASCADE array it allows the reconstruction of both the electron and muon numbers, which are the main indicators for estimating the mass and the energy of the primary particles. The study of reconstruction accuracies and the status of the shower size spectra after 3 years of data taking will be reported. (orig.)
