Production of secondaries in high-energy heavy-ion collisions

Description
In the framework of Quark-Gluon String Model the calculation of the inclusive spectra of secondaries produced in heavy-ion collisions at intermediate (CERN SPS) and at much higher (RHIC) energies is carried out. It is demonstrated that the mechanism of secondary production changed drastically in the energy interval √s = 20-60 GeV and that it is in agreement with qualitative estimates of Glauber-Gribov theory. The results of numerical calculations at intermediate energies are in reasonable agreement with the data without change of the model parameters. At RHIC energies numerically large inelastic screening corrections should be accounted for in calculations
Abstract (Russian)
В рамках модели кварк-глюонных струн вычислены инклюзивные спектры вторичных частиц, родившихся в соударениях тяжелых ионов при промежуточных (CERN SPS) и более высоких (RHIC) энергиях. Показано, что механизм рождения кардинально меняется в интервале энергий √s = 20-60 ГэВ, что находится в согласии с более качественными оценками по теории Глаубера-Грибова. Результаты численных расчетов при промежуточных энергиях находятся в разумном согласии с экспериментом без изменения параметров модели.
