The economy of cogeneration systems for different fuels are analyzed in the light of the Swedish governmental proposition of a carbon dioxide emission tax, a general energy tax on fuels and an investment subsidy (per kWe) or a production subsidy (per kWhe) for biofuel cogeneration.
