A study of decontamination of NPP cooling pond water coolant using titanium phosphate as a selective inorganic sorbent
Description
Physicochemical and sorptional properties of spherically granulated titanium phosphate synthesized by sol-gel method have been studied. Dynamic tests of titanium phosphate for purifying water simulating the one from NPP cooling pond from cesium radionuclides have been carried out. In case of uninterrupted water filtration in recirculation mode at a flow rate of 20 column volumes an hour and service life of sorbent of 12.9 thousand column volumes, the coefficient of the cooling pond water deactivation of 2x104 was attained. 14 refs., 5 figs
