Modern situation with the problem of neutron absorbing materials and products on their base for VVER-1000 reactors
Description
Different control systems for VVER-1000 reactors are described. Construction particularities of adsorbing elements, adsorbing control assemblies and burnable absorbers for VVER-1000 reactors are considered. Neutron absorbing materials used or prospective for use in the core of water pressurized reactors are analysed. Possibility of absorbing element construction with improved technical and operating parameters are discussed. 97 refs., 11 tab., 20 figs
