New mixed oxides Lnsub(2)Mnsub(4/3)Wsub(2/3)Osub(7) With pyrochlore type structure
Description
Complex oxides Lnsub(2)Mnsub(4/3)Wsub(2/3)Osub(7) (Ln=RE from Sm to Lu and Y) with rhombohedral pyrochlore structure are prepared in air at 1200-1300 deg C from Ln2O3, Mn2O3 and WO3 oxides. Lattice parameters of compounds in hexagonal package linearly depend on Ln3+ ion radius. It has been found that in the 77-300 K temperature range Ysub(2)Mnsub(4/3)Wsub(2/3)Osub(7) magnetic susceptibility obeys the Curie-Weiss law with μsub(eff) close to theoretical value for Mn3+ cation
