Synthesis and luminescence of yttrium ortho-vanadate activated by neodymium and silicon
- 1. Belorusskij Politekhnicheskij Inst., Minsk
Description
A method of preparing yttrium ortho-vanadate activated by neodymium and silicon from corresponding coprecipitated salts is proposed. Luminescence properties of synthesized materials are investigated when pumping with electron beam. It is shown that for excitation current density up to 10 A/cm2 and wave length - 1.06 μm luminescence intensity and energy transfer rate of electron excitation in yttrium ortho-vanadate doped with neodymium and silicon are three times higher than in yttrium-alluminium garnet with neodymium impurity
