Description

The presentation covers the general legislative framework for the back-end nuclear fuel cycle in Korea, the state-of-art of current research and on-going projects related to the back-end nuclear fuel cycle which includes low and intermediate level wastes and spent fuels. The talk deals with a number of projects with respect to back-end nuclear fuel cycle driven by industry and research fields in Korea, which commences a new era for next nuclear generation with 20 nuclear power plants in 2005 resulting in No.6 nuclear power country in the world.
