Critical thermal loads involving the dissociating liquid N2O4 and nitrine bubbling

Description

The results of investigation are given of critical thermal loads dependence on pressure involving N2O4 and nitrine bubbling under conditions of natural convection. The range of investigated pressures is 0.2-9 MPa (0.02 p/psub(cr) 0.9). The treatment of experimental data in the coordinates of Rosenov-Grifit equation allows to generalize the considered results with smaller error than in the coordinates of criterion equations based on hydrodynamical approach to crisis phenomenon. In the range of high pressures the transition from the bubbling regime to the film one occurs with certain deterioration in heat transfer, but the film boiling regime of dissociating coolant is characterized by high heat transfer intensity (5-9 times as high as that of inert material (substance, matter) with appropriate parameters). In consequance, the transition to film boiling takes place with far less increase of thermal head
