Conductometric investigation into extracts of molybdenovanadophosphoric acid with trioctylamine

Description

The results are presented of a conductometric investigation into the behaviour of the ion associate molybdic-vanadic-tungstic-phosphoric acid (MVPA) with trioctylamine (TOA) in 1, 2-dichloroethane (DCE) and nitrobenzene (NB), solvents with different dielectric constants. The electrical conductivity values are 1.07x10sup(-2) ohm-1 mol-1cm2 for DCE and 7.2x10 ohmsup(-1) molsup(-1) cmsup(2) for NB. The ion associate dissociates with splitting off of two protonized particles of TOA. The dissociation constant is equal to 10sup(-7.8) in DCE and 10sup(-7.1) in NB. The conductometric investigation carried out proves conclusevely the dissociation of the ion associate (MVPA) (TOA)sub(4). The data obtained corroborate once again the ion nature of the bond in the compound
