Electron-phonon mass enhancement in cerium

Description

Using a simple theory for the electron-phonon mass enhancement, the mass enhancement factor lambda for gamma and alpha Cerium was calculated. From the results, a reasonable understanding of the band structures in gamma and alpha Ce emerges. For gamma Ce, the estimated value of lambda is in good agreement with the experimental value. For alpha Ce, the position and the width of the band is obtained. The estimated width agrees well with those reported by others.
