Ultrastructure status of bone marrow cells in case of 85Sr incorporation
- 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Rentgeno-Radiologicheskij i Onkologicheskij Inst., Kiev (Ukrainian SSR)
Description
Ultrastructural manifestations of rat bone marrow cell reaction in response to 85Sr osteotropic isotope incorporation at 15 and 150 μCi per 100 g animal mass have been studied by electron microscopy. Ultrastructurai injury, mainly nonidentified blast cells and reproduction pool cells -maturation of myeloblastic and crythroid series as well as lymphocytes, has been detected. It results in local changes of chromatin and interchromatin nucleus structures, nuclear envelope membranes, nucleoli, mitochondrion membranes, endoplasmic network and plasmic envelope. Dynamics of the changes depending on exposure time and irradiation dose has been observed
