Description
Soft X-ray source using Inverse Compton scattering has been developed at Waseda University. The 10 ps X-ray pulse at 307 eV containing 4x103 photons was generated by the interaction between electron bunch of 4.2 MeV with 0.25 nC and Nd:YLF laser pulse of 1047 nm with 8.5 mJ. Generated X-ray energy was analytically calculated to 307 eV in the 20deg interaction. The energy of this X-ray is included in the range of 'water window' so that this X-ray is useful for the biological observation. In this paper, we report the latest results of X-ray generation experiment. (author)
