Magnetic hypersusceptibility of atoms

Description
The paper deals with determination of hypersusceptibilities μ of atoms with filled shells located in a homogeneous magnetic field harmonically dependent on time. To calculate μ the technique of the quantum theory for many bodies is used. Analytical expressions for dynamic and static μ have been obtained which are calculated for He, Ar, and Be atoms both in the Hartree-Fock single-particle approximation and with an allowance for many-electron correlations in the random phase approximation with exchange
