Silicate matrix for actinide wastes

Description
Using methods of electronic microscopy, of chemical and X-ray phase analyses one investigated into specimens of silicate phases with structures of gar net and apatite-britholite characterized by high capacity as to the components of high-active waste (HAW). One determined phase composition, chemical and radiation stability of silicate matrices filled with waste substitutes (La, Ce, Nd, Eu, Zr) in proportion corresponding to the composition of actinide-zirconium-rare earth fractions of HAW. Paper shows compliance of the investigated specimens of garnet-britholite matrices with the requirements imposed on the quality of HAW solidified forms
Abstract (Russian)
С использованием методов электронной микроскопии, химического и рентгенофазового анализа исследованы образцы силикатных фаз со структурой граната и апатита-бритолита, обладающих высокой емкостью по отношению к компонентам высокоактивных отходов (ВАО). Определены фазовый состав, термическая, химическая и радиационная устойчивость силикатных матриц, заполненных имитаторами отходов (La, Ce, Nd, Eu, Zr) в пропорции, отвечающей составу актинид-цирконий-редкоземельной фракции ВАО. Показано соответствие изученных образцов гранат-бритолитовых матриц требованиям, предъявляемым к качеству отвержденных форм ВАОAdditional details
