Synthesis of rare earth monophthalocyanines containing fragments of sterically hindered phenols

Description
The preparation of rare earth monophthalocyanines containing sterically hindered phenolic groups is reported. The monophthalocyanines of Nd, Eu, Lu were prepared (with chemical yields 83, 53, and 64 %, respectively) from substituted phthalonitriles using a method of template synthesis. 4 refs
