Production of 73Se via 70Ge(α,n)-process at a compact cyclotron
Creators

Description
A method has been developed for production of selenium-73 via 3He- and alpha-particle induced reactions on germanium-70 in a compact cyclotron. The target is composed of an alloy of germanium and copper electrodeposited in layers on a copper backing. Using 97% enriched germanium - 70 the experimental target yield was found to be about 400 microcuries/microamp hour
