The effects of doping molybdenum wire with rare earth elements

  • 1. Tokyo Tungsten Co. Ltd. (Japan)

Description

Doped molybdenum wire by five kinds of rare earth elements (i.e.: Y2O3-Mo, La2O3-Mo, Nd2O3-Mo, Sm2O3-Mo, Gd2O3-Mo) and undoped molybdenum wire were studied. The doped molybdenum wires showed a higher recrystallization temperature and less deformation at high temperature than the undoped molybdenum wire. An interlocking recrystallized structure was formed by numerous rows of rare earth elements. 4 refs., 10 figs., 2 tabs. (Author)
