Description
Positron emission tomography (PET) using F-18-labelled fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) has been used in oncology and might be a suitable functional imaging modality for the evaluation of recurrent thyroid carcinoma, also the purpose of this study is to evaluate whether FDG-PET is feasible as a presurgical evaluation modality for I-131-scan-negative thyroid carcinoma patients who show increased FDG uptake only in the cervical lymph nodes
