Description
Nonlinear magneto-optical Kerr is used to study the magnetic properties of thin bilayer films composed of cobalt and two different non-magnetic metals, platinum and tantal. Our experiments reveal different nonlinear-optical response of these two types of structures related to specific magnetic properties of Co/Ta and Co/Pt interfaces. (paper)
