Cross sections and isomeric ratios for the 109Ag(αn)sup(112m,g)In and 109Ag(α,2n)sup(111m,g)In reactions

Description

Excitation functions and isomeric cross section ratios have been measured for the 109Ag(α,xn) reactions in which the isomeric pairs sup(112m.g)In and sup(111m.g)In are produced. Targets consisting of stacked foils of natural silver were bombarded with beams of α-particles at an incident energy of 55.0 MeV in a synchrocyclotron. On the basis of the cross sections the thick target yields and saturation production rates of sup(111g)In and sup(111(m+g))In have been evaluated. (author)
