Description
The present study is devoted to the L0.08Ca1.92MnO4 series (with L=La, Pr, Ho and Y) which exhibits, at low temperature, the highest ferromagnetic components in the magnetization curves, among the electron-doped manganites belonging to the first members of the Ruddlesden-Popper family. We show that, in the whole series, coexistence of ferromagnetism and antiferromagnetism is induced, independent of the size of the L cation and that the holmium-based compound has a particular behavior with the presence of 2D antiferromagnetism instead of 3D for the other cations
