  • 1. Skoda, Plzen (Czechoslovakia). Zavod Energeticke Strojirenstvi

Description

The current state is given of research and implementation of projects for in-service diagnostics of the function of a nuclear steam source with WWER reactors. Briefly described are diagnostic systems for monitoring vibrations, detecting loose parts and foreign bodies, monitoring coolant leakage and for acoustic monitoring. The technical equipment of the system consists of the measuring part (detectors), subsystems, the central system comprising a computer with a working store of 32 to 128 kilowords and an external memory of about 5 Mbyte and special evaluation devices (spectral analyzer or stochastic analyzer). Software is divided into two categories: software for acquisition and basic processing of signals and software for processing and analyzing diagnostic signals. The main programmed functions are described and the algorithm is given of diagnostic functions for a nuclear steam source. (J.P.)
