A new method for the UV excitation in radiophotoluminescence dosimetry

Description
A new type 2 W miniature halogen tungsten incandescent lamp working in an 'over-power' single pulse mode with higher incandescent colour temperature for UV excitation is used in the reading of fluoroglass for radiophotoluminescence dosimetry. A reliable, portable and low cost field reader for the fluoroglass dosemeter with a low energy consumption has been designed employing this new method of UV excitation. (author)
