Structure of fluctuations in the floating potential and ion saturation current in the edge plasma of the L-2M stellarator

Paper presents results of measurements od saturation ion current, of a floating potential, as well as, of their fluctuations in the L-2M stellarator edge plasma. Near the separatrix the saturation ion current and the floating potential are shown to have distribution peculiarities. On the basis of measurements of intercorrelations between probes placed at different toroidal azimuths one concludes that behavior of saturation ion current fluctuations corresponds to quick vertical shifts of plasma filament, while fluctuations of floating potential have the form of radially propagating oscillations
