Thermal decomposition of irradiated cadmium bromate
Description
Thermal decomposition of unirradiated and γ-ray irradiated cadmium bromate proceeds through (i) initial gas evolution, (ii) a short induction period, (iii) a short acceleratory stage and (iv) a lengthy decay stage. The acceleratory and decay stages follow the Avrami-Erofeyev equation. Irradiation causes reduction in initial gas evolution, increases the rate of decomposition but does not affect the shape of decomposition curve. (author)
