The influence of temperature on stripper foil lifetimes
Description
A semi-empirical formula for the lifetimes of stripper foils exposed to ion beams including beam and target properties is given. The lifetimes are mainly determined by lattice damage and depend exponentially on the foil temperatures in the temperature region between 300 K and 1200 K. (orig.)
