Feasibility study of tele dosimetry in personnel monitoring at Madras Atomic Power Station

Description
In nuclear installations personnel dose monitoring is essential to control individuals dose within stipulated limit. Checking of a worker's dosimeter by a supervisor or health physicist during the course of work is dose consuming and often disturb the work done by the individual. A new approach to solve this problem by designing an electronic gadget and use it for tele dosimetry was made. A study has been done to see performance of this device and its feasibility. Further experiments are on to enhance its performance. Advantages and application are discussed. (author)
