Theoretical aspects of non-linear light modulation on the optically stimulated luminescence measurements

Description

A theoretical model for non-linear (parabolic) light modulation (PNLOSL) for the first and second order kinetic on the optically stimulated luminescence measurements is discussed. A detailed numerical analysis of the model is worked out. It is found that the PNLOSL technique gives all the information that can be obtained from the conventional LMOSL technique in a short time. The PNLOSL peak height is 1.35(σ γ)-1/6 in 1st order kinetic and 1.46(σ γ)-1/6 in case of 2nd order kinetic as compared to LMOSL and leads to a sharp OSL peak. (author)
