Influence of strain microheterogeneity on peculiarities of ductile fracture in polycrystals
Creators
Description
Using samples of 08Kh18N10T steel the distribution of deformations over microzones in longitudinal and transverse directions is studied to determine the mechanism of crack initiation. It is ascertained that in case of the sample tension microcracks are located mainly in the longitudinal direction and are caused by the action of two mechanisms: 1) change in the structure due to alternate participation of microzones in the deformation process; 2) nonobservance of pair principle for tangential stresses and shear deformations
