Description
We present new 3 μm spectroscopy of the Galactic Centre infrared sources IRS 12 and 19 and new 4.6-4.8 μm spectroscopy of IRS 3, 7 and 12. IRS has a broad 3 μm absorption feature, and a pronounced 3.4 μm absorption, as seen in other Galactic Centre sources and attributed to C-H bond stretching in organic molecules or hydrogenated amorphous carbon. In all respects it is similar to the spectra of other Galactic Centre sources. IRS 19 has an extremely strong 3 μm absorption, similar to the water-ice feature seen towards dark cloud sources, but with an enhanced long-wavelength wing. In the 4.6-4.8 μm spectral region, IRS 3, 7 and 12 all show absorption features due to gas-phase CO molecules. In addition, IRS 12 has the 4.67 μm solid CO absorption. (author)
