The complex zeros of differential cross-sections
Description
The zeros of differential cross-sections for spin (0 + 1/2) → spin (0 + 1/2) scattering are examined in the complex z-plane. Their use in resonance identification is discussed for πN elastic scattering. An interpretation of backward scattering data is also given in terms of the intrinsic properties of differential cross-sections and polarization zeros. (author)
