Problems in the 14-MeV neutron cross sections in ENDF/B-V [Evaluated Nuclear Data File] for some structural materials and the new ENDF/B-VI library

Description
Comparisons of the measured neutron and gamma-ray spectra from silicon, copper, titanium, tantalum, tungsten, and lead bombarded with 14-MeV neutrons and calculations carried with the ENDFB/V [Evaluated Nuclear Data File] library have shown discrepancies. The ENDF/B-VI version of the Brookhaven National Laboratory neutron photon library is scheduled to be released in the near future. Because this version will not include revisions for all the above materials, the use must be aware of the problems to be expected
